Dear Friends,
Please support our initiative - the international cartoon contest
devoted to the theme of election.
We will be happy to see your works, describing any aspect of the
election process.
Below are the short rules for this cartoon contest:
The International Cartoonists Club CARTUNION invites cartoonists
from around the world to take part in
the contest "We are electing."
Historical experience shows that the election
- is not only a formal democratic procedure, but also a great
chance to
explore the human nature. Here, at the polling station, you have
a chance to watch the clash of amazing characters, to
observe the cowardice and desperate insolence on one side and
the civic courage of the other.
In other words, the election is the perfect
reason for artists-satirists to roll up their sleeves and take
up a pencil or a
computer mouse.
The rules of the contest:
1. Works should be sent electronically
to the following address: cartoongallery@gmail.com
2. Picture format: A3, jpg or gif. The resolution should be
sufficient for high quality printing (at least 300 dpi).
3. Deadlines for sending: February
15, 2012
4. The authors of the three best works will be awarded with the
Honorary Diploma of the International Cartoonists Club.
5. The organizers reserve the right to publish the submitted drawings
without monetary compensation.
6. Selected works will be presented on the CARTUNION site:
http://www.cartoon-expo.com/. We are also planning the traveling
exhibition of the best works.
Several countries have already expressed
an interest in this collection. Among them are: Australia, France,
Canada, China,
Bulgaria, Poland.
It would be also great if you could advertise
this contest on your site.

Each participant can send maximum 6 artworks
Sending (Name, family name,photo, post address, Email address

artists Just by word file is necessary
The catalogue will be send to the entire artist that their artworks
published in the catalogue
Artworks must be in 200 dpi by width or length of 1500 pixel by
jpg format.
Secretariat of the festival has the copyright of printing and
exhibiting the received works
Attending in the competition means the artists agree with all
rules of the festival

Grand prize: 20,000,000(RL)-(The equivalent of at least 1000 $),

First prize: 13,000,000(RL)-(The equivalent of at least 800 $),

II. SELECTIVE CARTOON CONTEST
1.) I am a selective man!
Theme: promoting selective waste collection.
We can help save our planet for the next generation by selectively
collect used and unneeded, but still recycleable materials. Although
selective waste collection is not a problem any more, it still
has not become an integral part of our everyday life. Let’s use
the humour of cartoons to show some of the absurdities and contradictions
of our lives and let’s have a good laugh at our own peccadillos.
Humour may help us and our children better understand our planet’s
needs.
2.) The contest is open, so we accept works of both amateurs and
professionals from all around the globe.
3.) Deadline for entries: 28. February,
2012.
4.) The entries will be judged by a professional jury. The jury’s
decision is not negotiable.
5.) We aim to organise an exhibition tour in primary, secondary
schools and colleges in Hungary, where we would like to point
out the imprtance of selective waste collection to the young.
The first exhibition is scheduled in Baja in March 2012.
6.) It folows from 5.) that the submitted cartoons will not be
returned!
7.) Participants can submit up to three original cartoons in A/4
or A/3 size, using any technique. Prints of cartoons produced
or coloured with software can also be submitted on condition that
it has the cartoonist’s original signature and the print’s serial
number.
8.) The participants should write their name, address, phone number
and e-mail address on the back of the cartoons.

13.) Participants whose works are selected by the jury for the
catalogue will receive a free copy of it via post.
14.) The organiser retains the right to use the cartoons freely
(e.g. poster, leaflet, calendar, etc.)
15.) By entering the contest the participant accepts the terms
of the contest.

| КОНКУРС КАРИКАТУР НА ТЕМУ
«СЕЛЕКТИВНОСТЬ»
1.) Я человек «селективный»!
Тема: популяризация селективного
сбора утильсырья.
Сбережение природных рессурсов означает и то, что в производительный
процесс введем как можно больше уже использованных материалов. Для
этого необходим селектмвный сбор уже использованных, отходных матермалов.
Уже много условий дано для селективного сбора утильсырья, но эта
деятельность ещё не стала неотделимой частью нашей жизни. Давайте,
с помощью юмора, инструментами графики посмеёмся над нашими недостатками,
над ежедневными противоречиями. Смехом воспитываем себя, но главным
образом молодежь.
2.) Конкурс открытый. Ждем
работы любителей и профессионалов.
3.) Срок прибытия работ: 28-ое
февралья 2012-го года.
4.) Работы оценивает профессиональное
жюри. Решение жюри не пренадлежит обсуждению.
5.) Наша цель, создать передвижную
выставку в Венгрии.
В начальных школах, в гимназиях, в высших учебных заведениях желаем
обратить внимание молодежи на важность селективного сбора утильсырья.
Первую выставку мы организуем в городе Бая, в марте 2012-ого года.

6.) От каждого участника конкурса мы ждём максимум три работы оригинала
в формате А4 или А3, без всякмх
технических ограничений.
Мы принимаем и копии работ, изготовленных или раскрашенных с помощью
компютерной программы, если они снабжены оригинальной подписью автора
и номером копии.
7.) Конкурсные работы обратно
мы не высылаем!
8.) На обратной стороне конкурсных
работ просим указать фамилию, имя и отчество, адрес, номер телефона,
адрес E-mail участника конкурса.

1. Participation
The contest is open to all artists regardless of nationality,
age, sex, etc.
2. Organizer

4. Entries
1) The works whether they have been awarded in other contests
previously will be accepted.
2) Participators should summit the original works. Any slide,
photograph or xerox will not be accepted.
3) The maximum 10 entries should be submitted for each category.
4) The maximum size of the works should be 700 ×700mm respectively.
5) The works should be accompanied by the author's resume and
photo (or caricature).
6) First name, Last name, Address, Email, Telephone number should
be written on the reverse side of the works.
Please specify in envelope: “2012 Gold Panda”
7) Technique and medium of works are unlimited. Any painting,
Print making, Traditional Chinese Painting, Oil
painting, Watercolor, Crafts art or Children’s painting will be
accepted.

6. Deadline and Exhibition

rolled in a hard case. The folded works will not
be accepted.

8. Judgment
1) The jury committee is composed of artists, print engravers,
cartoonist, illustrators and press editors.
2) The jury meeting will be held on April , 2, 2011.
3) The committee will announce the result on April, 15, 2011 on
web site. At the same time organizer will
contact the winning artists via postal mail or email.
9. Prizes
1) Gold Panda prize – Golden Panda Medal + 2000 US Dollars – 1
2) Best work prize – Silver Panda Medals + 300 US Dollars – 5
3) The special prize of jury meeting – Copper Panda Medals – 30
4) Selected prize – Certificate of merit
10. Copyright
Explicitly participators have whole copyright for their entries.
The committee has the right to use all the
submitted works to spread competition on media, websites, posters,
post cards, advertisements, etc.
11. Catalog
The authors whose works has been selected will receive one copy
of the catalog made for the competition.
12. Provisions
1) The submitted works will not be returned. They will be exhibited
and displayed in Redman International
Cartoon House.
2) Participation in the contest means the complete acceptance
of all the above conditions and agreements with
jury's decision.
